The content of a book is seen when opened but the cover of the book is what attracts a person to the book. The first point of contact to a place is as vital what is in the place. Statistics has shown is the beauty of the book that attracts the reader to the book and is very vital premium is placed on it.

The cover of a book is the fragrance the propels you to the content. It is like the ingredients that makes the book appealing to the eye. The making of the cover of a book is like carefully selecting the various ingredients and mixing them in the right proportion to get the perfect combination is service its purpose of appealing to the eye. The book cover must have the ability to literally drag the person to come close and purchase the book.

I will be taking you through a systematically procedure to help you *magically" thrill your potential readers to come close to your book and buy it off the shelves.

The Images

An image has the ability to speak to communicate a thousand words without verbal cues. Complexity in selecting your images must be avoid. The image must be compelling but not complex to miss the goal of the book. A simple yet precise image is appropriate for all books. Creativity is encourage but must be skewed to the particular book you publishing. The image must be such that it easily sticks into the memory.

The Layout

As skeleton is to the body so is the layout of a book. The structure of the layout of the book is an essential element to making a great cover. In composition of the layout can include a catchy phrase as inscription. The imaginary positioning of the elements either by the use of horizontal or vertical grid. There must be a feature giving a gist about the content of the book.

Colour Choice

The totality of our environment is encapsulated in colour. Almost everything around can be expressed with colour. The wrong colour will communicate the wrong message.
Colour is the garnishing ingredient to a design. It brings weight, height and depth to your colour. The content of book is the determining factor to the choice of colour you must used.
When you think you are locked up in your colour application, you can draw lessons from other designs and designers.
Colours depicts mood, atmosphere, environment so in choosing your colours don’t be stereotypical but open minded to diverse views.

Font Selection

Font selection can be explained as the typography of the word. The typography of the book compromises of the arrangement and font type used. Being creativity in your font choice shows how you have mastered your craft. The font style, spacing and creativity exhibited in commencing a new point shows a high level of mastery.
It is advisable to stick with one font type in giving your title and subtitle in the cover page but if you want to go beyond yourself, use complementing fonts and not contradicting fonts because it may alter the aesthetics of the cover.
